Murphy’s Law for Music Editors
1) If a band is described as a “Chicago-based five-piece,” the keyboard player will leave the night before the review runs, and people will email to say “You are fucking idiots, the band is a four-piece.”
2) If somehow the keyboard player lasts through the night, the band will relocate to Brooklyn before the review runs.
3) The longer a band is in existence and the more prolific they are, they likelihood of correctly noting how many full-lengths they’ve released approaches zero. Once they pass 10 releases, the band themselves cannot say with any certainty. Do you count the live album? What about that tour-only CD-R? Oh, the one that was later given a semi-official release?

Oh shit you mean you don’t just count the albums listed under “Studio Albums” on Wikipedia?
